Episode 3: The Biggest Fears Before Moving Abroad
THE GOLDEN MOVE DIARY
8/16/2025

Before I left, fear was my constant companion.
Not the kind of fear that freezes you in place, but the quiet,
nagging doubts that whisper late at night when everything is still.
What if I can't find a job?
What if I've made the wrong choice?
What if I don't make any friends?
What if I regret everything?
These questions ran through my mind again and again,
sometimes so loudly I could barely sleep.
I wasn't just scared of the unknown; I was afraid of failing, of being alone, of losing everything I'd known. It felt overwhelming and at times, almost impossible to keep going.
But here's what I discovered: fear is completely natural. It's part of stepping into something new and uncertain. The real challenge isn't to wait until the fear disappears, because it might never fully go away but to find the strength to move forward despite it.
If you're feeling this same swirl of worries, I want you to know you're not alone.
I've been exactly where you are, uncertain, scared, but determined to make it work.
And it's okay to feel that way. It's part of the journey.
That's why I started this online diary, to share my experiences, the little wins, the doubts,
and the lessons I learned along the way.
My hope is that by reading my story, you can move past the fear,
feel less alone, and start building your new life abroad with more confidence.
Even if you don't have all the answers yet, following my journey can help you find your footing.
If you're ready to stop letting fear hold you back and finally take that leap, this diary could be the encouragement you need
