Episode 1: Why I Left My Country at 20
THE GOLDEN MOVE DIARY
7/30/2025

I was 20 when I left.
It started with a weekend trip.
Just a short city getaway with a friend, no big plans,
just some sunshine, good food, and a break from the usual.
But something shifted.
Somewhere between wandering the streets, sipping coffee in the sun, and laughing without checking the time, a quiet thought popped into my mind:
"I could live here."
At first, it felt random. Impulsive. The kind of thought you usually leave behind the moment you're back home.
But this one… stuck.
And the longer I ignored it, the louder it got.
Within a few months, I made a choice that surprised even me.
I let go of what I had, my apartment, my job, my routine.
I sold my car. I packed a suitcase.
And I booked a one-way ticket.
No job waiting. No clear plan. Just a deep, stubborn feeling that it was time for something else, even if I didn't fully know what.
Some people thought it was reckless. Others called it brave.
But to me, it just felt right.
That spontaneous trip didn't give me answers but it gave me a question I couldn't ignore:
"What if I just went for it?"
And so I did.
What happened next wasn't always easy.
There were doubts, tough days, and a lot of figuring things out along the way. But that one bold decision? It changed everything.
If you're reading this and you feel that same pull that quiet restlessness, maybe you're standing at the edge of your own Golden Move.
And if you're wondering how I actually made it work after I landed…
That's exactly what I share in episode 2.
